What we do

We offer a range of services to help you and your child achieve more independence in a variety of situations. Not sure what skills to focus on, or what it costs? We can work with you to establish goals and tell you more about our fees.

In-Home Occupational Therapy

We offer outpatient therapy in the natural environment. Simply put this means we provide therapeutic services in the environments in which the child and family most often interact. This can mean home, day care, parks, places of worship, stores and restaurants. Working in these settings allows us a better understanding of how your child interacts with their environment. We can formulate more comprehensive plans and offer better solutions for your family. Treatment often focuses on environmental adaptations/ modifications, reflex integration, promoting developmental progression (fine motor skills, gross motor skills), self-help skills (such as eating, sleeping, bathing, dressing, toileting training, etc.). We are able to approach many of these areas through play. This is a great option for young children. We offer these services in-person and via telehealth.

Occupational Therapy at Legacy Gym

We are excited to now offer outpatient occupational therapy in Highland, IL at Legacy Gym. This setting allows us to explore different sensory strategies, including more movement options with patients. We can set-up obstacle courses and work on sequencing and motor coordination. This is a great option for older children or children that need more physical challenge. Another great capability of the gym is the opportunity for children to interact in peer groups that are led by an occupational therapist. These peer groups focus on social skill development, handwriting/pre-handwriting skills, and coordination.

Nutrition Services

Nutrition services are most-often rendered in-home, but with telehealth, families have more flexibility in scheduling. We are happy to devise a plan for visits that will work with your family’s schedule. Our nutritionist will come to the family’s home, discuss nutrition needs, and offer solutions the better the child’s nutritional status. With the right nutrition, progress in all other areas is more possible! We can address food allergies/intolerance, supplementation, dietary needs, G-tube feeding and weaning, and weight gain.

Early Intervention

We provide occupational therapy services for children ages 0-3 through the Illinois Early Intervention Program. This program is a voluntary, multidisciplinary program designed to assist families when a child presents with a qualifying diagnosis or developmental delay.
